Balcony Walk – Jebel Shams

With a panoramic view of Oman’s ‘Grand Canyon’, this is an incredible adventure for all.

The hike is a slight challenge, but the views are breathtaking. We follow the old route around the inside of Oman’s own Grand Canyon towards the recently abandoned village of Sap Bani Khamis. Above the village is a spring-fed lake where we can have a refreshing dip if you wish, or just sit in the shade provided by the cave behind and enjoy the views over lunch.

The route back is the reverse route so now we get those spectacular views from another angle. The gentle descent we enjoyed in the morning makes us work a little harder on the way back.
