PRIVACY STATEMENT

With this privacy statement, we inform you, among other things, about what kind of personal data we collect, what your data is processed for and what rights you have.

BOOKING

If you wish to book for other people, you must be authorised to do so by that person.

What data do we collect from you?

When you book a trip, the data you provide is recorded by us. We collect data including:

• Name, address, place of residence, telephone number, e-mail
• Date of birth
• Payment details
• Details of the trip booked
• Copy of passport and driving licence

What do we use the data for?

• Your details are needed to make enquiries, to provide you with information about your trip, for relevant communication regarding the booking, for the proper execution of the trip and to complete the booking and payment.
• Name and address details, bank details and data on the booked trip, costs and payment are processed for the purpose of accounting, debtor administration and collection operations.
• Your data may be used for a legitimate interest of the company or third parties, such as handling complaints, disputes and legal actions, insofar as your interest should not prevail.
• We will use your passport and driving licence copy to verify your driving skills and for the rental of respective car in cooperation with our on-site travel service provider.

Statutory Basis

We collect your data for the performance of the agreement we have with you. In addition, data is processed on the grounds of the legitimate interest of the company and third parties, insofar as your interests should not prevail. Furthermore, data is collected to comply with legal obligations including, in particular, the duty to keep accounting records.

How long we keep your data

• Unless otherwise specified, personal data will be kept for up to two years after the trip.
• Insofar as data are required for tax records, these data are kept for the applicable mandatory period (as a rule, 7 years).

If your trip takes place outside the EU, the necessary personal data will be transferred to local travel service providers outside the EU pursuant to the execution of the (travel) agreement with you. TRAVEL VALUATION

What data do we collect from you?

We collect data including your name, the trip taken, your reviews of the trip, your other feedback or information you mention in the trip evaluation.

• We use the data for internal
• We use the data for evaluation and feedback to the relevant travel service

Statutory Basis

We collect your data pursuant to the performance of the contract we have with you. In addition, data are processed on the basis of the legitimate interest of the company and travel service providers in sound evaluation of its products or services insofar as your interests should not prevail.

How long we keep your data

Data in the evaluation will be kept for 2 years after the trip.

With whom do we share your data?

The data may be passed on to the travel service provider. Depending on the situation, this is done anonymously.

NEWSLETTER & COMMUNITY

What data do we collect from you?

When you sign up for the newsletter, community or to receive our free guide, we collect data including your name and e-mail address.

GDPR and Marketing Permissions

iDrive4x4 will use the information you provide on this form to send you its newsletter detailing new products, locations, and offers. You can give your consent by ticking the box below and clicking on the subscribe button.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in the footer of our emails. For information about our privacy practices, please visit our website.

What do we use the data for?

When you subscribe to the newsletter and community or are a customer of ours, your data will be used to send the digital newsletter to you plus the introduction sequence emails. We ask for your name to personalize the salutation of the newsletter.

Statutory Basis

If you are not yet a customer, we will process your data insofar as you have given us permission to use or send the newsletter. If you are already a customer, we will send you a newsletter based on the company’s justified commercial interest in sending its customers the latest travel offers.

How long we keep your data

Your data will be kept for these purposes until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of each newsletter.

To send the newsletter, we use an external mail programme called Mailchimp.

DIGITAL PROPOSAL / OFFER

What data do we collect from you?

We collect data including your name and e-mail address when you request a digital proposal/quotation.

What do we use the data for?

When you request a proposal/quotation, your data will be used to send it to you.

Statutory Basis

We process your data for the execution of the contract after you request us to send the proposal/offer.

How long we keep your data

Your data will be deleted 1 year after transmission to the extent that it is not lawfully used for other purposes specified in this privacy statement.

To send the quote, we use an external programme (digital) called Booqable.

COOKIES & PROFILING

What data do we collect from you?

With your consent, we collect data about your browsing behaviour and preferences. Tracking cookies and scripts are used for this purpose. We collect your IP address.

What do we use the data for?

This data is used to build profiles that allow us to show you targeted ads and make offers more relevant to you.

Your profile will be kept no later than 6 months after the last website visit.

We take all appropriate organisational and technical precautions to secure your personal data and require third parties processing your personal data for us to do the same. This includes:
